So I've kicked off my time at Goldsmiths University in South London and, apart from it being terribly daunting [something, I assure you, I was not prepared for being the cocky gob shite that I am...] it was also something of a roller coaster ride. Without divulging too deeply into the emotional stuff [none of you want to hear that], I'm very aware that my time at Goldsmiths will be the making of me and, seeing as I'm based there for the following three years, it will become a home of sorts. My course [Anthropology and Sociology for those that don't know] is already captivating me, as an untried attempt at being less excited about going to my lectures fell flat on it's face proved. My first lecture was entitled 'Knowledge and Power'. Gosh. Really looking forward to it. Really excited.

Right I'm assuming you've noticed I haven't blogged for, well, ages, and, though I have no real excuse for this poor lapse, I have been extremely [extremely!] busy - in fact last month was possibly the hardest, busiest, most draining month I've probably had to struggle through in recent memory [though I still enjoyed it. I've started uni [more of that to come later], and I've worked, travelled [to fair Paris as well as Sheffield, Liverpool and Glasgow two times each], filled in a whole heap of forms, travelled some more and, basically, been terrible at managing my time. This is something I've had to address but I think taking this last month off from blogging has been a pretty good idea adjudging from the amount of other things that have been going on. I will be prompt in my return however and I'm sure I'll be back on top of Swagger & Swoon as soon as I'm back in to the rhythm of blogging. Stay tuned.

Sydney Awesome Challenge | Task Four | Brief

This week we are looking at Sydney Wildlife. We want you to take inspiration from the various animals that can be found in and around Sydney, and create your own Australian creature – whether it be a mash-up of existing animals (platypus, koala, wombat, emu– there’s plenty to choose from!) or a completely new species. As always, the medium in which you deliver your entry is up to you, and you’ll be judged on creativity, community involvement and use of the resources available to you.

I know the brief was to take a photo, but I really wanted to bring drawing into one of the tasks as it is something I haven’t done in a long time, but also something I feel like I had to incorporate sooner rather than later [as it goes the next task would be perfect for that but ah well...]. I had originally wanted to use Photoshop, but instead relied upon graphite pencils and a handy rubber. More to follow after my trip up and down Britain [I’ll be away for a few days ya see]. Sydney Awesome Challenge | Task Three | Brief

The most difficult task yet, this challenge is again focused on active creation, take a peek:

So two challenges down, four to go! The third challenge is themed around Sydney icons. We want to see you recreate a well-known building, monument or geographical feature, and have your photo taken in front of it. How you go about making the icon is entirely up to you - we're thinking about going down the mashed-potato Sydney Opera House avenue (seems perfectly sane to us)!

Difficult and one I'm not entirely sure where I want to go with. I was considering 'photoshopping' the whole thing, but I'm unsure as to how really 'creative that is - its bloody difficult though! With this task, more so than even the last, your help is very very important so please do get in touch with all and any suggestions!

Sydney Awesome Challenge | Task Two | Completed

So the second task of the Sydney Awesome Tour is done and dusted and, with huge help from some of my peoples [thanks - you know who you are], I think I've again gone for something a little different in approach. I'm aware that this challenge could have either catered for a huge amount of creativity, or the extreme opposite, with very little - I had the path of either finding clothes online and building something via that, or designing something myself. In the end I went for neither and instead found an existing [extremely eccentric] ensemble through my various contacts. I wanted an outfit that screamed Sydney, and very few outfits, in my opinion, can shout Sydney as loud as having the Opera House itself on your shoulders...

Yup I went for that route [somewhat predictably] - hell Sydney has every right to be a global fashion capital, they can't stick to flip flops and short shorts forever now can they...

Sydney Awesome Challenge | Task Two | Diary

Second week, and the second task, 1000 Heads and NSW Tourism are keeping us on our toes - here's a little diary of the second task and how it went:

Having got to grips with this task far better than the previous one [I like to think I’ve got myself in to some sort of a routine] my typically late admission [hell I’m busy], was more to do with pulling together pretty documents than having my idea in on time. I refuse to present my idea in an any less grandeur manner than I would any other piece of work, hence the longwinded, if rather pretty, document [again].

I quickly deduced that this task was as much about the research, insights and the mood board leading up to the final product, and quickly set about garnishing support from the several forward fashion thinking individuals that litter my several social applications, with the enormity of the task somewhat relieved by the fantastic help I got from my network, whether it was the guys over at seminal fashion magazine Super Super [cheers Jayga], or my supporters on my Facebook group and Twitter.

There was a quiet expectation bubbling up to this task, with several grandeur ideas being thrown around, several surrounding the creation of an outfit I had come up with. I even had a designer lined up and looking for material, but, alas, time was not on my side, and, without wanting to be obscenely late, I chose a different route to present my ideas – namely pretty pictures, a few choice outfits and perhaps a descriptive line or two. My heads still been a tad mushy I’ve got to say, possibly because I’ve been trying to juggle far too much for an ordinary human being to even attempt to entertain – I’m most definitely ordinary and I’ve found that the juggling balls are dropping to the floor quicker than I had hoped

I’ve got my blogging game back on and I’m now in full flow attempting to reach as many people as possible, whilst bringing people into contribute towards my involvement. I’ve attempted to begin a little Twitter movement, jumping on the back of Elle’s #sendmetosydney tagging, whilst I’ve kicked off a Facebook group that is around 150 strong all supportive and ever eager to help. It’s good to know I’ve got people supporting me, I’m not sure whether I’d get through this without the support and kind words of my associates, friends and assorted member of ‘my community’...

Having the pleasure of meeting him myself on one or two occasions [good guy], and amid our colourful Twitter conversations around the sorry state of the Gooners, I managed to divulge that he is, amongst many things, a brilliant musician.

The ugly side of Camden

East London based brand the Ugly Kids Club have set up temporary a home in the hub of creativity known as Camden Stables. Selling limited edition clothing and assorted other bits and pieces, in a heavily spray painted backdrop, the pop up store demonstrates the brands ability to perform well, standing away from the various other competitor UK labels who have yet to engineer such a bold mood [with the exception of Second Son].

Sydney Awesome Challenge | Task Two | Brief

Right so the second brief is up and this one's a toughie. Focusing on fashion, the challenge requires the creation of a Sydney inspired outfit, moving away from the archaic look of khaki and corks to a much more modern look at Sydney.

'Week 2 is all about fashion. We want your take on Sydney as a style mecca, rather than the age old cliche of cork-hanging hats and drizabones. Basically, we're asking you to create an outfit that screams 'I'm all about Sydney'. Whether it's inspired by Collette Dinnigan frick, or some particularly eye-catching Hot Tuna beachwear, mock it up in whatever way you fancy... Hand-stitched, elegantly sketched or charity shop purchased - it's up to you!'

I've already got more than enough of an idea of where to take this, as I've long been a follower of Sydney fashion [thank you Sneaker Freaker!] but I'll need help refining the ideas and working on my final outcome. Get involved, I want to give you the bloody tickets for f*cks sake!

I'm calling for a resurgence of D Double E who, in my mind, is still the best MC to have darkened the already pretty dark corridors of Grime thus far. Still. With untameable flow, precision, energy and craft, the Newham born MC is to this day unmatched.

Watch this for a reminder of the pure brilliance that is D Double E.

Head Hunting...

Maharishi's MHI continues on into 2010 despite the issues surrounding it's apparent dip in to administration and the take over by [f*cking] JD Sports. Implimenting serial stylist, and Cassette Playa designer Carri Munden, to style the brand's spring/summer 'Head Hunter' collection - nice title and hopefully they will stay true to their word by 'head hunting' and working with young, up and coming creative stars. This already seems the case. As well as working with Mundane, the young model featured in the lookbook is a young, talented musician named Kase. Nice.

With a strong graphic element, expect MHI to return to the UK streetwear consciousness with huge aplomb over the next few months. The impending relaunch of Maharishi has got me bubbling with excitement once again, as the British fashion aficionados look to cement themselves back into the mindset of the fashion aware consumer. Having recently been invited to their London studio I was hugely impressed with their new product range, as the trademark brilliant design elements, alongside quality tailoring, is an ever present throughout the brand.

Expect to see more soon...

Sydney Awesome Challenge | Task One | Completed

So, after much deliberation, and pained consideration, this was what I finally came up with for the first task of the Awesome Sydney Tour. What do you think? Take a browse through the below document and please do give me feedback...

Right so that's task one complete, but how did I fare against the other contestants? From what I can see, everyone has done a great job [good luck to all involved again]. I've also just found this which has a wealth of more information surrounding the project too, take a peek...

Check out Anthony's pub inspired take on Aussie Rules, the popular Australian sport very much like rugby. Flicking a peanut between beer bottle/pint glasses to score points, the game is simple, easy to engage with and it looks like a lot of fun.

Lottie's first task is, alike Anthony's, based around Aussie Rules, this time involving a board game type thing and flicking coins through coins instead of peanuts. Nice, it's presented particularly well and I like the board game format here.

Mili's interesting take on cricket was also of great interest [and amusement] as she took the challenge away from the bar environment and in to the park [with a bunch of beers and oranges to boot]. Nice and it looked a ball to play too, whilst taking it from the pub and into the park is pretty cool too, something I'm unaware anyone else really took it upon themselves to do [the lure of a close by bar perhaps too much for us other contestants].

Kate's version of tennis was of similar format to the 1000 Heads Sydney Cricket, yet it's still nice, compact and simple to play.

Also take a peek at Miranda's blog she has set up solely for this project. Her idea encompassed the fact that Hamsters are illegal in Australia [who knew!?] and is both very clever, and extremely well pulled together.

Angel's idea surrounds bowling is similarly based on a board game and involves rolling a coin onto a series of objects. Check it out here...

So how does my idea match up? Thoughts...

Sydney Awesome Challenge | Task One | Diary

I've taken time to keep a bit of a diary in terms of structuring my thought process around ideas, inspirations and so forth. Well aware that this is a competition, perhaps I should be more cautious... But then again I've always wanted to keep a diary of sorts [I realise a blog falls under the broad term of 'diary of sorts'...]:

My train of thought over this first brief was a tad erratic [to say the least]. Combining my own drudging work schedule with my lack of time management skills, I left it to a frenzied weekend of partying, pretty girls and the occasional binge upon assorted alcoholic beverages to inspire, and to set aflame to, the creative qualities necessary for me to adeptly compete in this first showdown task. Impressive then that I managed to think up anything at all. The lack of ingenuity within my idea [by my reckoning at least] is something I would possibly blame upon misdirection by a bunch of New Zealanders on Friday evening – truly unhelpful bastards – and a parade of pretty Australian girls who only managed to distract me from the task at hand.

That being said, and though I now associate Australia [well Brisbane at least] with tanned skin and long legs, I am personally not unhappy with the fruit of my limited imagination. Deciding not to focus on a generic sport, I wished to utilise the raw materials that were at hand within my environment, whilst coming up with something both engaging to watch and participate in – that, I quickly learnt, was the beauty of Sydney cricket – without digressing too far from the sport . I started this task how I would when tasked with sculpting, and went about collecting [in my notebook at least] the raw materials I had at my disposal, already with a resemblance of a direction stored discretely within the memory banks of my brain. It was difficult however to bring about these different bits and pieces of ideas - I initially struggled to formulate anything tangible – but this was, of course, until I started working on making the ideas come to life and, with the help of a long legged, sun kissed, Brisbane born lady or four I managed to make something happen.

In terms of outreach, my only involvement I directly aimed at ‘my community’ was to let fly a few emails, tweet a tad and to make sure that I was allowed to use certain more creatively inclined members of my network in future tasks. I have yet to blog about the project, but this first task has proven to me that I must bring in as many people as is possible, thus, for the next task, I shall have the full force of my friendship groups, work buddies and assorted associates behind me so I can not only win, but win in the crushing kind of manner that would be befitting of a Jabba the Hut type character, or one of those awful American wrestling fellows. Nice.

Sydney Awesome Challenge | Task One | Brief

Perhaps prematurely, I fell through in this first challenge by not blogging about it post it's deadline and instead choosing to take it upon myself [and a bunch of pretty Oz girls] to come up with the first task myself.

This, however, was the brief [well... My version of the brief]:

Create a simplistic game that has it’s heritage in an Australian related sport and that can be carried out around a bar/public house/bar like surface. This could be any sport that is enjoyed in Oz, focusing particularly on creating a game that can be played with an active participation. The consumption of alcohol, though not specifically suggested, has a place within the culture of both Australia and pubs and therefore it would be slightly disparaging to not involve at least a few alcoholic beverages...

This was the idea that the 1000 Heads team proffered us to get our creative juices going. It's called 'Sydney Cricket':

Standard Rules…

Players agree amongst themselves the number of ‘overs’ (turns) that are to be played – each ‘over’ giving the player six attempts at scoring ‘runs’ (points). Once agreed, players take it in turns to spin their coin on the playing surface and attempt to score runs. The classic version uses the board below, with players spinning from the centre circle and scoring runs by landing their coin within the rings. If your coin finishes up off the board though, you’re out… Howzat!

NB: If a coin lands between two rings, an umpire’s decision must be sought on where the majority of the coin lies and runs awarded accordingly.

I shall soon blog my final idea - I want as much feedback as is possible!

Free tickets to Sydney anyone?

I've been lucky enough to have been involved in many great opportunities during my short, if busy [and stressful], lifetime, yet an initiative I have recently been involved in with WOM agency 1000 Heads has to one of the most amazing I've ever experienced [1000 Heads were the great bunch that previously got me involved with the BBC Blast project]. With Sydney bound flights, paid for accommodation and an opportunity to be active within the beautiful backdrop of New South Wales up for grabs, the 1000 Heads team have launched the 'Sydney Awesome Tour' in conjunction with one of their clients, STA Travel.

Without the long drawn out frippery, quite simply I have been set the task of engaging people with Australia and the great outdoors element of what is one of the most amazing countries in the world [along the lines of the wonderful PR move that was 'the greatest job in the world'].

Over a 6 week period I shall be set 6 tasks [yup one per week] where I must effectively use 'my community' to aide me win the top prize of a week in Sydney. All tasks shall be held in good spirit, and are orientated around testing creativity and one's ability to understand what it is that makes Sydney the amazing place it is. Stay tuned for these.

What, I hear you ask, is in it for those that help me out? Well, for one, the winner shall be officially given four tickets to Sydney - a pair for the winner and guest, with another two to be shared out amongst the winning community. There are currently 12 bloggers in line for the amazing prize, with a harden competitive spirit being combated by a great launch event to the project [see more ] so that's pretty darn good odds if you think about it... The project is tailored to be particularly engaging, with participation from as many people as is possible clearly a very important part to this task. Offering tickets to my community is apparently at my descretion, however I shall be both fair and realistic in my distribution - whoever helps me the most will win the remaining tickets [it's either that or I put everyone who helps out in to a draw - let me know if you think this is more fair].

This will require proactive audience participation, so all those that wish to be involved, please take my blog as an opportunity to brainstorm, discuss and [constructively] criticise via commenting. I want as many people as possible being involved and I also want to win. Badly.

I never compete to lose so, with the backing of my amazing network, I plan to win this competition.

Basking in the effervescence of some swiney goodness...

I feel inflicted, if not by swine, then by some other God forsaken illness that shall surely put a spanner in some sort of works. My day today felt like a battle and aches and pains have sprung up in places I didn't even know I had. A good time, apparently, to kick off my blogging once again. Amongst the many distractions I've had in the past month or so, university aside, the vinspired Voicebox project has been, by far, the largest. The fact that it has been interesting, fun and a great learning tool has meant that I've somewhat been caught up in the whole motion of the project, whilst general work for Ruby and my ever active social life has also lead to a lack of activity on this particular blog front. My bad.

So my uni application is done and dusted - I've decided on my course, what uni I'm going to attend, and, a tad prematurely one could say, decided on my favourite lecturer. I'm one letter away from getting close to £6K in debt, whilst I've got myself geared up for all the pretty girls I'm going to meet. So. What now?

Unsure as to what to expect I've been trawling Facebook and the Goldsmiths site as to clues of what to expect and, though my research techniques are somewhat questionable, that I'll be in for a high octane experience of drugs, sex and alcohol fuelled binges, combining not only the two previous past times but also wild, skins esque parties, nudity, and a large proportion of Mcdonald's Happy Meals with a side of Salt n Vinegar crisps. I could of course be wildly wrong, though something makes me think I may be on the right paths. I'll just have to wait and see I suppose...

I'm on the path to recovery. Good times.

Voicebox

As you may, or may not as it goes, know, I've recently become involved in a project for vinspired [the government backed volunteering Charity] called Voicebox. The project is based upon curating the views of young people and giving them a voice that will be heard and listened to, and not only by your peers, us at vinspired, or even the guys at your local corner shop [I find it oddly poignant that they must think I'm going to steal something every time I rock up in at that store - I've only been going there since I was 8 and have, to my memory at least, not even stolen a chocolate button - though did once pocket 20p I once found on the floor in there... I'm not sure if that counts - if so, then my very bad and I'll return it at once with the 7 years or so interest on top. If not, then sod off], but by the people that 'stalk the corridors of power' [such a wanky expression and I winced/cringed profusely when I heard some politician use the phrase today].

The initiative has few grand plans in the pipeline, a robot being strategically placed in the Houses of Parliament being one of them as well as one or two potential partnership with other interesting people to boot. The project will potentially [eventually I should say] be an amazing resource to provide people with true insights into what kids think, feel and do. Apart from asking kids their opinions on subjects such as knife crime, teenage pregnancy and drug use, we are, more importantly in my opinion, getting to the very core of what young people care about. A key part of this project is making sure that kids can be heard – we’re doing this by making all the results we gain from the questions on the site absolutely open source and therefore can be picked up and taken by any Tom, Dick and/or Harry, and can be played with as a child would a Lego set.

I'm also writing the blog on the site so please do stay tuned for my ever so insightful posting on there, whilst check out the results section for an up to date, blow by blow account of how our respondents are reacting. The project will be hugely successful, but I can't do it on my own. I'll need as much support from all the people that know me as is possible, so please do get as involved with Voicebox as is possible. If you're between 13 and 25 then please do proffer your opinions by filling out the questions here, and also please do talk about us - the project needs as much coverage as possible - whilst we are actively pushing people to pick up and play with our open source results.

NSW hits the nail on the head.

I recently came across images of Nike's Autumn/Winter NSW range and quickly concluded that it is genuinely the best collection I have ever seen emerge bleary eyes and fresh, from the Sportswear camp. With a selection of what appears to be impressively tailored jackets, coats and assorted cold weather wear, the Nike team have hit the nail on the head in terms of simple aesthetics – keeping much of the collection clean, bold and simple there is as much as 90% of all the product [seen here] that I would actively wear. Impressive, also, is the clever use of form, as there is a several pieces that take influence from the Varsity and military inspired M65 jacket. Very impressive, and impressed.

Entering the 'age of play'

I've recently read this amazing artist from one of my key mentors, the great Mr Ajaz Ahmed. Looking at the evolving practicality of utilising video gaming as a medium for marketing, Ajaz looks in depth at the business that is now bigger and mightier than Hollywood. I've long been a fan of in game marketing, mentioning it in a interview I did with the Guardian over a year ago, lauding the effective subtlety of adverts within games. With such complexity to games such as Grand Theft Auto, marketeers have the ability to not only market effectively whilst an audience [which is largely a hard to reach, younger audience] offers full concentration to the game, but to also confidently speak to its consumers in a way that will much more easily grab, and keep, their attention.

Just came across this brilliant ad from Nike SB in conjunction with the third release of the Paul Rodriguez Nike SB skate shoe. Combining picturesque scenery, fantastic tricks from P.Rod himself and the 'Today was a Good Day' soundtrack, alongside a cameo from Ice Cube himself, the video is a brilliant minute of ad that I wished I saw more of. Twelve Bar

If you hadn't heard of Twelve Bar before, you sure will in the coming months. Created by ex Londoners Nick Jackson [ex-Maharishi] and Damien Webster [of Clique n’ Move], Twelve Bar has had an excellent lease of life since it’s emergence on to the streetwear scene a few years back. Mixing casual workwear with leisurely streetwear, Twelve Bar has both some great stand out pieces and some excellent wardrobe fillers. Now based in LA since their move from London, the brand has benefited and excelled by mixing up the different style influences from these separate surroundings, blending these cultural styles both efficiently and effectively. Built upon the creation of things that they love [hence where the heart logo and the tagline ‘It’s All Love’ has come from], both founders are heavily influenced by their joint adoration of music – something that is extremely important in their apparel design and outlook on life [their website is also reflective of this, whilst their ties to some of the best emerging and established artists displays their authentic love of music].

The love child of two of London’s luminaries, Merrick Johnson and Theo Oliver [aka celebrated DJ Motive] have decide they want a change from the usual Dalston ‘cool kid’ rave and so Party n’ Bullshit was formed. With an impressive line up of DJs including Motive himself and Yoyo’s Seb Chew, culture vulture duo Tim and Barry and Maharishi’s Gigolo Knight. The night will be focused on fun, debauchery and the appreciation of good music, and will, importantly, be open to all n everyone. Held in Dalston’s 512 Kingsland Road venue, Party n’ Bullshit promises to be a resounding success – come join in the merry tomfoolery this Friday evening. Sweet.

Crossover finally returns to the streets today as a new range of product have been dropped via We Are HQ. Vitamin Water x Don't Panic

I’ve been seeing some excellent things from Vitamin Water of late – adverts have been popping up all over the gaff, whilst the constant promotional work around the brand is both acknowledged and appreciated. Positive in its approach, whilst not too over bearing, Vitamin Water is filtering into our everyday consciousness. Six months ago I would have found it strange seeing Vitamin Water in constant, general use – now, it is commonplace.

Vitamin Water have again caught my attention, this time due to a design competition they’re running with Don’t Panic. In a move to test their consumer’s creativity, Vitamin Water are giving entrants the opportunity to see their design projected big and large on to the side of Cordy House, Shoreditch, whilst there is also a cash prize and tickets to a festival too. The theme for the competition is ‘summer of Glaceau Vitamin Water’ so if you’re interested, there is more information here.

Meeting Rio...

I had the great pleasure of being offered the opportunity to meet Rio Ferdinand last Saturday as a crew of hand picked individuals, Nike employees, and die hard football fans, congregated at the 1948 NSW store in Shoreditch. Held in conjunction with Ferdinand's Air Force 1 Launch, he came across as both personable and intelligent in a very open question and answer time, a stark contrast to the media portrayal of many modern day proffessional players. He spoke of his love for the game, joked and laughed, signed various bits and pieces, smiled and was consistently polite - I even got him to give my little brother a call and I marvelled as I watched him converse with my delighted 9 year old sibling.

Rio Ferdinand is clearly a bit more than an average footballer, exemplified by the fact that he has been given a shoe by Nike to work with. His shoe is cleanly constructed and uncluttered, the quality of this shoe falling within the detailing - a poignant message on the insole, clean white lines, whilst gold stictching, alongside the golden swoosh, gives the shoe a premium feel. His online magazine '5' also displays the enterprising nature of the man, clearly transferring a powerful winning mentality that he so strongly champions on pitch, to all other areas of his life.

A fantastic opportunity and one that I shall long remember. Thank you to Nike, AKQA and, of course, Mr Ferdinand...

The Air Yeezy hits London for the third, and final, time...

The hype around the third, and final, installment of the Air Yeezy has already been intense - the huge amount of interest the super-publicized sneaker has garnished is a clear and true reflection of the strength of the Yeezy brand. With news that Size are again receiving a limited run, and that the Yeezys will once again be available from both Niketown and 1948, trainer fiends will undoubtedly be queuing for days beforehand with the hope of laying their grubby mitts on the super limited pieces of footwear.

Having myself just had a close inspection of the final pair earlier this week, I'm impressed by the pure construction of the shoe. The lack of the 'Y' embossed pattern across the strap, alongside the glow in the dark swoosh, and the focal Tan colourway are reasons to get excited alone, whilst the clean white outsole adds a nice finishing touch to the masterpiece.

Available as of this Saturday the 6th of June, expect full blown Yeezy-mania.

Approaching milestones and fiendish thoughts

I’m 19 in a week.

It feel strange – I’m growing up yet I’m finding it increasingly difficult to know what motivates me anymore. Less so is it a case that I am unmotivated, but more that I am struggling to tap into the reserves of potential I assume I have pooled beneath my rough exterior. I must move onto the next level. The ‘success’ I have so far achieved is of little standings to those of my heady aspirations – I do not wish to be denied by an all too familiar teenage angst that I’ve seemingly become coerced by, foolishly, naively - deceived by the tantalizing bait of a ‘normal’ existence. Far be it an ideal, normality is only this seductive notion due to my insistent curiosity. That and the coarse views of my peers of whom find me, not only an oddity, but also slightly crazed – spinning my existence between my fingers like a plumber would his hammer. A contoured existence is an acknowledged, regular thing - I’ve said so before - but what I’m continuing to struggle to cope with is the lack of calm; the lack of freedom; an ease in pressure. I can sometimes feel like life is a drawn out conflict, day to day skirmishes beating down upon my fragile mind, body and soul; a regular familiarity, worrying as each impact cranks up the pressure valves that tiny bit more.

I’ve found, as we all do, life is an ordeal, yet it is made all the more excruciating due to my masochistic drive to push myself further, faster and harder than those around me. I‘m driven by the individuals I surround myself with. My goals are all the more unobtainable due to my insistence on comparing myself to others, whilst I could never allow myself to settle – I couldn’t, and wouldn’t, allow myself to stay in one place, competition a constant reminder of my own failings or short comings. I’m motivated by this all – yes. But, as I push myself into an oblivious, hungry, unprecedented existence, I’ve found that success brings with it a level of crushing anguish. I find myself blind to the milestones I pass, my greed insatable, whilst I wearily continue on, stumbling and staggering, towards a goal I shall never reach.

It’s difficult turning emotions and feelings into words, but, my body still wracked with hormones, I use natural highs and lows to help me to express the turgid thoughts that are constantly running around my assault course of a brain. I’m 19 in a week and I stand defiant in the face of the adversity that is day to day living – bring on my nineteenth year and bring on the battle.

The grey Force 1

For all those that have visited any Nike iD studio, it is common knowledge that the most will know sought after, and valuable, kicks are the plain grey inspiration shoes. In fact they are so sought after, I have often unsuccessfully offered a lesser limb in return for a pair but, as is common knowledge, they have never been available to buy, give away or swap for an arm. Until now apparently. As part of the 10th anniversary celebration of Nike iD, Nike are making 105 pairs [worldwide] of the grey Air Force 1 Supreme try-ons available to buy.

The allocation is split three ways, 35 pairs in three locations at 21 Mercer Street New York, the Nike iD Studio London and NSW Tokyo, available as of tomorrow, the 23rd of May.

I’ve fallen in love, irrevocably. Hard; Harder than I could ever had imagined, the huge cavernous entity that is my heart beating blissfully each and everytime I think of my other half. Separated by an ocean, and lost in the gaping enormity of this world, I feel as though my adoration is futile, yet I strive on regardless.

Ahh New York, you’ve wooed me good; I'm smitten by all those fancy buildings, I swoon at your every mention, and the smell of sizzling fat now sends me into a rapturous delight due to our memories with one another...

On a serious note, I do truly miss New York. I’ve only been there once, and that once was only for a few days, but it was enough to give me the kind cravings usually more associated with crack cocaine than for an occidental city. Perhaps it is because New York was the first break from England, basically London, I had had in three years, but I believe it is because it is one of the most amazing places in the world. Let’s hope I’ll be back sooner rather than later...

Jordan Raging Bull pack...

I picked up these bad boys a few days back having originally fallen in love with the whole ‘Toro Bravo’, or 'Raging Bull' pack via Hypebeast. The use of 3M on the upper is what really makes this shoe such a fantastic purchase, and the material, combined with the classic Jordan 5 shape, is what made the shoe a necessary addition to my ever expanding kick collection. The second half of the pack boasts a similarly fantastic material range, the classical deep red of the bulls this time detailed in a red suede that have whipped trainer lovers worldwide into an absolute frenzy - I wait and anticipate.

BBC Blast's big idea...

I was invited down to the BBC Blast interactive studio on Monday to experience their new creative space pre-launch. A fantastic digital art space that is controlled from the comfort of one's own computer, 24 hours a day, starting from noon yesterday, Internet users have the ability to access a digitally interactive creative space via the BBC Blast website that allows one to control a series of machines in the studio from the relative safety of one's own computer. Containing machines such as a series of musical light fittings, a glue gun spraying 3D mold making machine [or something to that effect - trust me, it looks dope], and, my personal favourite, four pumped up automatic paintball guns that can fire up to 120 rounds of hardened paintballs a single second if peaked at full blast, the studio was a digital artist's playground, angled directly at an imaginative, creative mind, whilst the digitally interactive quality is truly an innovational aspect.

I find it staggering that, at the press of a button I have the ability to fire round after round of paintballs into [what was at the time] a blank wall from my own home - seeing the effects real time is surreal yet brilliant, an insight into a future where we can control, and see the affects of many more real time events from the comfort of our couches. Encouraging more young people to get creative, Blast are here proffering a platform to actually 'create' in a fun, different way - they are allowing us to experience the process of creation in a certified installed art space that can be accessed and seen by millions of people, whilst taking the concept of creation through new, unchallenged boundaries.

The team that introduced us to the space was fantastic, a tribute to the work of Colin, Steph and Tim from the 1000heads, whilst the BBC laid on beers and snacks for myself and the other fantastic group of young people who were drafted into visit the studios. We were also introduced to Gemma Cairney of the 1Xtra Breakfast Show, which, having met her partner in crime, the illustrious [notorious even] Mr Trevor Nelson the previous day, was also a huge thing for me. I am extremely appreciative of the BBC for laying on the opportunity be involved with Blast, particularly as it was not only engaging, but also something which I can, and will, take something from. The studio was fantastic, but the opportunity to interact with the actual BBC deeply impressed upon me, something that I not only appreciated greatly, but also impacted upon me on an emotional level. The BBC are one of the brands that are ever present in our British lives - a brand that is so strongly ingrained in our lives that many couldn't imagine a world without them, a brand that will remain a constant due to their interactive and innovative approach – it was an absolutely huge honour to be allowed to be involved.

Radio 1's Big Weekend

Having managed to swindle tickets to the Radio 1's Big Weekend, courtesy of the wonderful Sarah-Jane Crawford, I threw myself, head, feet and fist first, into the festival spirit, as the BBC pulled out all the stops to provide all who attended with the very best experience possible. Boasting a fittingly fantastic line up that included the wonderfully talented Neyo, Snow Patrol, Dizzee Rascal, Daniel Merriweather, the notorious Prodigy, Chase and Status, Lily Allen, The Gossip, Basement Jaxx and N Dubz to name a few, the event was always going to be a brilliant coming together of eclectic music, people and atmospheres alike. With around 40,000 people attending over both the Saturday and Sunday, the weekend really was one of the best I have yet to experience, the combination of fantastic music, brilliant people and a pseudo backstage pass culminating in a head banging, fist punching, sweat dripping, rave-out to some of the best musical acts the world has to offer. Surrounded by, and even interacting with, some of my childhood heroes was a highlight, but it was the gritty festival atmosphere that really had me swooning candidly to the brilliance of the BBC as I was once again reminded of how great live music, in a vibrant atmosphere, really is.

The multitude of eclectic sounds, smells and sights was an explosive impact upon my senses, as, wooed by the delightfully deep drafts of fizzing fried foods that wafted across the park, I strode and swaggered around the tents, buzzing giddily to the constant bass that steadily shook the fielded space around me. Dizzee Rascal’s ‘Bonkers’ was only upstaged by Skream’s remixed rendition of La Rouxs 'In for the kill' as the anthem of the festival, though it took for the brilliant duo of Chase and Status to truly take the crowd to the next level of Drum and Bass induced hysteria. Dizzee Rascal was a stand out performer, yet so was the similarly talented Bashy who, on a smaller stage admittedly, displayed why his talent, energy and focus will take him as far in the game as, if not further than, the boy from Bow E3. Beth Ditto of the Gossip was a highlight - her crazy, outrageous spirit brought about a similar reaction from the crowd, whilst her infectious attitude, toned lyrical prowess and fabulously contentious style of the woman beamed her crazed, yet wonderfully talented aura and personality down from the stage like a beacon. The Live Lounge in the enclosed space of the festival was a fantastic idea by the Radio 1 team as, in smaller, enclosed surroundings, a compact crowd was given the fantastic opportunity to get close and personal with many of the stars that would otherwise have been as distant as a dustied poster bluetacked to a bedroom wall.

Being Europe’s largest free ticketed event, the BBC provided music to suit all tastes and all peoples, supporting huge stars at the top such as Akon and Kelly Rowland, to the break through artists making their way up the ladder such as Master Shortie and Wretch 32 – the weekend was a culmination of brilliant music, minds and management, a display of the BBC’s fantastic influence and affluence; hard work and determination; support and liberality. They may come in for a fair bit of stick, but they sure as hell know how to throw a party – bring on festival season and thank you to the kind folks at the BBC.

United again through their most recent collaboration, Trapstar and A.IN.T are throwing a party to display their appreciation of the impressive support they both received at the recent Reset event. Not only did they both sell their wares extremely well over the bank holiday weekend, but they were also inundated with the kind of support that makes what both brands are doing, such a meaningful endeavor. With a DJ line up including Acyde, No Bizzi and Seb Chew, and a venue located in the heart of London's west end, the party looks like it will be a huge success and one that will justly sound the brands appreciation - it's good that they're giving something back to those that have supported both the brands throughout the years. Wrigley's 5?

Whilst bathing in the sunshine of a glorious Saturday afternoon in 1948's spacious courtyard, and as I perused all the pretty people, clothes and sneakers, I was thrown a small, solid cardboard box by one of the WAH girls. On closer inspection I found the box to contain Wrigley’s gum - not just any old Wrigley’s gum I hasten to add, but Wrigley's 5, possibly the best gum I have ever chewed upon in my life. Not only was the gum flavoursome and attractively aromatic, but also long lasting too - unheard of in all current products to my knowledge. The general branding of Wrigley’s 5 is more reminiscent of Lynx [Axe] than of the company that created Juicy Fruit and Extra, though it displays the positive direction of their brand with what is clearly going to be an extremely successful venture for the corporation in this country.

Sometimes you've just got to pay homage to a truly great product and Wrigley's 5 is most definitely that...

The success of The Reset weekend...

The Reset weekend was, without doubt, a huge success. All the involved brands benefited from their participation as they earned money, promoted themselves and learnt from the experience of the encounter with other creative individuals and brands alike. Not only do I expect all brands to display radical improvement due to The Reset, but I also see them collaborating, expanding and pushing themselves further - competition fuels innovation and, though all brands involved were impressive, it was Trapstar who really set the place alight. On the Saturday, as people lined up, buzzing with expectancy ahead of the release of the black Yeezy, a separate queue stood waiting, not just for The Reset, or for the shoe launch, but for one brand in particular - Trapstar.

The Trapstar team were barely given time to restock throughout the event, so high was the demand for their wares. This was of no surprise - apart from being one of the longest serving brands, Trapstar also put the work, money and time into the promotion of the event, releasing several one offs, exclusive pieces, and re releases just for the weekend, whilst using the web as a medium to inform people of their endeavors. Second Son were also a shining beacon of professionalism, their stall a medley of relevant bits and bobs, their personal identity beaming through in everything that they did. It would be fair to say that they were the brands that truly set the pace, though all were impressive, as each and every brand clocked up sales and garnished added support during the busy hustle and bustle of the bank holiday weekend.

It was clear throughout that The Reset was not only a huge event for the future of the involved brands but also a huge boost for the street wear scene as a whole. Packaged as a savior of the scene, with Jude, the event organiser, regularly being referred to as ‘streetwear’s Obama’ due to this, The Reset displayed the affections people still hold for the industry, the success of the brands showing that streetwear is, and will long be, a constant in the urban realm. I don't think the event went as far as to say it 'saved streetwear', but it did go far in assuring those doubters that the industry is far from dead and buried. With rumour on the street indicating that the next event is being scheduled for late summer, I, alongside many other streetwear lovers, shall be waiting anxiously for the return of The Reset.

I got me some Yeezys...

My regular pessimism unabated, I genuinely did not think the second instalment of the Yeezy would find themselves in my footwear collection - alas I was wrong and, due to the gratuitous generosity of Nike, I managed to lay hands upon a pair. Now much have been made of these kicks and I can genuinely see why - apart from being magnificently constructed, the smooth and strong contours of the sneaker is wonderful to behold, whilst the glow in the dark outsole subtly carries the shoe into a new stratosphere of a starstruck sneakerdom. Stunning to behold and comfortable to wear, the Yeezy is truly a fantastic item of footwear, the black/pink colourway the best of them all.

Feedback from the shoe hasn't all been as positive however. Having thrown the controversy raising question out there on the day of the trainers release, I asked my Facebook friends what they thought of the sneakers - opinion was split to say the least:

This bank holiday weekend promises to be no different, as, with temperatures reaching heights of a predicted 20 degrees, London shall once again be swooned into a lapsidasicle bank holiday spirit. Saturday eve however promises to offer something to the more active members of our busied community. With the London night sure to resound to a corus of revellery from all four of its corners, Cordy House shall be home to, not only one of the best nights the capital has to offer, but also the after party for The Reset event - be there or be square!

The Air Yeezy invades London once again...

So, two days before they hit stores worldwide, the anticipation leading up to the release of the second [and possibly best] colourway of the Nike Air Yeezy has hit fever pitch - people are travelling the length and width of the country in a concerted effort to obtain the extremely exclusive sneakers as, armed with added layers, tents and emergency provisions, they prepare to wage war upon Nike retail spots. 1948 and Size are the two retailers that are stocking the highly sought after [and expensive] sneakers and, as tens, potentially hundreds, lay seige to the stores, similar scenes are sure to be found across the globe. From Amsterdam, to Tokyo, to New York, to LA, Air Yeezy hype has raised the bar, the success of the trainer a well documented global phenomenon and one that shan't be abaited by the general lack of access to the rare trainers. Nike's move to not only collaborate with Kanye West, but to also give him creative control, has paid dividends - his eccentricity a small price to pay for the originality and genius that has allowed for the creation of such a successful shoe.

Nike x Nintendo Wii

A brilliant collaboration between two of the best brands about, Nike have come together with gaming company Nintendo to create a series of Wii inspired trainers. With inspiration taking the form of Air Max 95s, Premium Blazers, Skytops and Air Force IIs, this is one of the best collaborations in the sneaker game I have seen in a long time - with the Skytops in particular a welcome addition to any trainer lovers hoard. Difficult to get hold of, and sold in limited numbers, try to get your hands on these if possible - available at extremely select Nike retailers, according to hypebeast.

The UK street wear scene is fed up. Sales are down, shops are shutting and they are generally feeling hard done by... But they aren't going to take it lying down. Some of the UK's best 'Young Gun' brands are rallying together in an attempt to do something about the slump and, in conjunction with Nike, they have given birth to Reset. A fantastic initiative that brings together the influence of Nike with the floundering mid-recession street wear industry [brands such as Trapstar, Second Son and A.IN.T are amongst the ten involved], Nike has offered an opportunity for UK street wear to be showcased in grandeur settings - the 1948 store on Batemans Row a fitting home for the urban mix of clothing that shall set up shop over the 2nd and 3rd of May. I recently found that tees from British streetwear brand A.IN.T [Art in Transit] are being sold for next to nothing on the online super store ASOS [A Super Online Store]. A.IN.T has long been one of my favourite UK streetwear labels, with the focus the clothing has upon Britain, and 'Britishness', commendable amongst the diluge of brands that are so fast to associate themselves to, generally, American pop culture. Apart form being great quality, and fantastically designed, A.IN.T has real roots in the London creative scene, with famous fans including the enigmatic Seb Chew and pop diva Lily Allen to name a few. At just over a tenner, it is a meager price to pay for one of the best British brands about. Nice.

The Air Yeezy is released at Nike's retail stores across London tomorrow as 1948 and Niketown both gear up for masses of hysterical crowds ready to descend upon the respective stores. The limited edition piece of footwear is the creative lovechild of Nike and musical maestro Kanye West, a collaboration that has caught the public imagination by the scruff whilst, whipping many trainer lovers into a sneaker obsessed frenzy to match the hype of only Nike's most sucessful releases.

I'm self admittedly indulging myself in the mainstream melodrama that Twitter has become. Far be it for me to criticise the huge swing in popularity for the micro-blogging site, I am instead praising it for, not only being a serious threat to Facebook's dominance of our online lives, but for becoming something which people are religiously following. It's bloody impressive that, in such a short time, a huge amount of people, young people especially, have taken this concept and ingrained it in their everyday lives. After my original cynicism towards Twitter, I now revoke any negativity I may or may not have had towards the site - you could follow me here if you so wish.

Morbid musings

I think I'm forgetting who I am... Or, perhaps, I'm remembering who I was... I'm never sure of these condensed complexities, nor of the rules that govern what, or whom, we may become, and, probably due to this, my musings have pulled me to the brandishing brink of a self-contained collapse - seven months on from my first real loss, I now understand the world a little better. Death is neither a blessing nor a curse - but just angled reality, a creeping craft that rocks and strays across a river of emotion, as sorrow clings to joy, and anger clasps to hope with the same vengeful vehemence of a human soul clinging to life. Seven months on and death is a constant - a rusty, blunt, dull staple. I'll never forget those who have passed, nor the suffering and the pain that followed their passing - this post is to remind myself of that turmoil, of that grief, but, most importantly, of the joy of living and life.

Morbid, but needed. Live life to the fullest.

English clubs are dominating European football one again, a fact that is both a huge source of pride and a bare faced boast. For the second time in consecutive years, England have four teams through to the Champions League last 16 and, as the draw is to be announced in a matter of hours, I am anxiously waiting for this current round to be announced. As I constantly check BBC Sport for any form of update, there is a aggressively turgid ball of anxiety in my stomach that would usually accompany someone as they sat, twiddling their thumbs with a slightly manic passion, before a job interview. Football is a huge part of me and is, and shall always be, massively central to my existence, hence why the draw has put me in the kind of erratic mood that should generally be found exclusively in crazy people and politicians.

The pontification of potent potential...

A series of things has forced me to turn my head and look back over the past year recently, and, whilst pontificating over my feats and realisations, I found myself asking, ‘what have I actually achieved?’ Which progressed to ‘am I proud of what I have done?’ Then, ‘am I content with my own personal progression? ‘An even ‘am I content with the progression of those around me?’ Important questions - questions of the big, bad and scary variety – questions that don’t just go away if you shoo them.

I am, without doubt, proud of my progression over the past year: I have seemingly transformed from an East London bred street rat, to someone who may actually find his feet, toes and all, in this tumultuous society - yet I have had to keep myself in check. I have always maintained that I can handle pressure, handle responsibility, handle life, but the past year has taught me that I know little of the ways of the wicked world and that my own place in it, no matter how insignificant, is one that I must cherish. I have lost family members in the past year; I have lost friends. I’ve kissed pretty girls, travelled to New York, bought bagfuls of trainers, met fantastic people and gone to some of the most amazing parties on offer - I am living. I am doing, and I am actively invigorated. I love the fact that my existence means something - that I have the potential possibility to pertinently attain, accomplish and achieve. I can endeavour to aspire and I can make things happen. Yet, like most kids, I potentially could, and almost have, fucked it all up with an effortless ease that is both unbecoming and terrifying. The past year has also taught me however, that energy and drive, determination and perseverance, strength of mind and will, can allow one to pick themselves up, brush themselves down and to keep buggering on, with more unfathomably jolly spirit than Mr Bean on crystal meth.

Almost a year ago to the day, Ruby officially set up the company; and it changed my life. It also opened my eyes to an existence that I could of only dreamed about a year ago. I was told today that I live a ‘charmed existence’ and, upon thinking about it, I deduced that I truly do. I do, and I appreciate it. A few days back, as I lounged around the kitchen space in Weiden + Kennedy, my mentor in the making, the brilliant, if slightly hard-nosed, Karrelle Dixon, sat me down and told me something that will stick with me forever. He swaggered and sauntered around the kitchen, looked at me, and said ‘the worst thing in the world is wasted potential’. It is something I have heard many times, something I thought I understood, yet the words have never had more resonant relevance than at this current time. It made me realise that I can still ‘throw it all away’, that we are all fallible, that none of us are perfect – With those words fresh in my mind, I am making it my mission to build upon the events of the past year, and to strive to some sort of rudimentary success. I will never be static - I will not allow myself to fail.

My mind is constantly cluttered, careering, crashing, coursing, crafting, creak and peaking; constant and kinetic. Unanswered questions remain, yet I shall address lingering issues when my head feels able. This, in the mean time, shall have to do...

The return of 1948...

Nike's 1948 warehouse space in Shoreditch reopened over a week ago now, but, due to other commitments, I didn't have the time to get down to the store until just the other day. The new interior decor is extremely impressive; designed by the renown Wilson Brothers, Nike have cut no costs in creating, what is essentially, the home for Nike Sportswear and tier 0 products in this country. With impressive flooring made from recycled sneakers, and neon lighting blazing from the illuminating installation cast from the ceiling, the Wilson Brothers have displayed their immens talent for creative installations once again. With quality products such as the Liberty dunk, the Cassette Playa blazer and the ACG Magma, 1948 is also home to Nike's NSW range, with hoodies, t shirts and sweats complimenting the exclusive array of sneakers. If you manage to get down to the store, be sure to pick up the 1948 booklet whilst you are there. Edited by Acyde, the magazine offers a breakdown of East London's creative scene with key features on some of the areas most influential individuals, including such luminaries as Mr Batlow of the Ugly Kids Club, Sharmadean Reid of WAH and Carrie Mundane of Cassette Playa. The store symbolises Nike's ability to be one with the culturally relevant movements of the times, whilst remaining evidently impressive and extremely [almost intimidatingly] cool - pop down when you have the opportunity.

The Dilemma of Mr Matt Mason

I'm currently reading one of the most brilliant books I have ever read in my life [and trust me I've read a lot of books], after it came highly recommended by Ruby and I managed to prise it away from the grasp of Roxy [ok, ok we swapped books]. I'm currently easing my way through Matt Mason's brilliant anthropological analysis of youth culture in society 'The Pirates Dilemma'. It is about 'how hackers, punk capitalists and graffiti millionaires are remixing our culture and changing the world' and is truly one of the most informative, interesting pieces of factual literature that I have ever had the pleasure of perusing, subconsciously placing Mason as giddily high in my esteem as his fellow geniuses Malcolm Gladwell and Stephen Fry. The book has been around since last spring, yet for those of you who haven't heard of the brilliant Mr Mason, don't be alarmed, or feel that surreptitious twang of annoyance that most people get when they don't know something. As an ex pirate DJ for a clandescent London based radio station, he is is remarkably adept at staying beneath the ranging radar. Upon leaving the pirate DJ lifestyle behind him, Mason since went on to craft a creative career in journalism, becoming editor in chief for seminal London based magazine RWD and writing for a number of publications across the world. A famous journalist he may be, but the real genius of the man lies in the messages he so successfully portrays...

Mason is the kind of writer that reminds you of how far exactly one can go with the right mentality and work ethic, displaying how individuals can forge their own path through this turbulently tumultuous world, without having to conform to the wicked whims of society. Hugely inspiring and progressively breath taking, Mason takes pirate culture to the masses, using a science that is universal and regardless of age whether you be 14 or 40, whilst enforcing a fervent focus on aspiration, creating and the act of Doing It Yourself.

We're Worth It Too magazine's fifth issue, 'The Individualist Issue', was released to the world wide web last Monday and again hosts a strong display of young, up and coming talent. Check out the newly constructed WAH Magazine website, as the girls have cut no corners in making the site as brilliant as the concept behind it. WAH magazine [which I recently found out stood for We Ain't Hoes] is the lovechild of stylist and consultant supremo Sharmadean Reid, who felt that the female population of London deserved recognition and a voice - a proper and real female orientated space to talk about their ambitions, aspirations and achievements. WAH, I have come to realise, is about empowering women [Coca-Cola listen the fuck up], as the success of females can be somewhat over looked in many male dominated industries. Reid and WAH are working against this masculine sexist mentality, striking an aggressively feminist stance as she and her team of some of the most brilliant bright [extremely pretty] young things work to make sure that the magazine remains a sonorous success.

Flatspot: the road to sneakerdom...

Sneakers are a big part of my life, without a doubt [I'm currently hoarding them at a rate of knots and I'm seriously considering knocking in a wall in my room to make space for more of the leather bound beauties], I've lended myself to the culture and, follow them as vapidly as I follow my other passions. Listening to the radio today [Radio 2 - thanks Benny], I heard someone announce that they were seriously shocked that some kids spend anything up to £300 a month on trainers... Don't be surprised. That's nothing. I know certain people who spend that on a single pair a week, hell I would if I could. I lend myself to sneakers and embrace them as art forms, so when it comes to getting my fix ,one of the first places I look across the vast expanse of the net is Flatspot. The British skateboarding, apparel and footwear associated company sell brands such as MHI, Stussy, NikeSB and Carhaart, at, not only reasonable prices, but leading ones too.

Red Nose Day 2009

I may not know which Beatle is which, but I bloody love these Comic Relief t-shirts from TK Maxx. As part of the fund raising campaign for the annual charity event, Stella McCartney has created this stylish set of tees, with images of seminal figures in the British entertainment industry blazed across white shirts, contrasted only by the red circles across each nose. This year could be an extremely difficult one for any charity event as the recession has tightened everyone's already unyielding purse strings, and the generous quality of a nation shall be severely tested. These t shirts are a start and, at just under £10, are a snip – get down to your local TK Maxx and support.

When I find more I'll upload them [alternatively, I could of course just bring out these pictures and snap them, but that would involve missions into either my cellar, or my loft, which, I assure you, 'aint fun', and is fraught with perils along the way... Eagerly anticipated, Trading Places returns to us this weekend and, as fashion week dawns, the ATCN and the TMI crews have gone to extra lengths to fully display the raw sexiness, atmosphere and vibrance of one of London's best nights. The poster above is a mergence of some of Londons most creative individuals from the arts scene as Irene Agbontaen and Ala worked on the wonderful styling and make up respectively, combined with artwork from Insa and Ethel, and the fantastic face that is Suzi P's. It will be one hell of a night, I hope to see all there!
